The February half term is fast approaching and parents will be looking for fun things to do with the children.

Thankfully, there's lots on offer and many events that make the most of Suffolk's wonderful landscape.

Here are just five half term events for families across the county.

February Fun on the Farm at Easton Farm Park

Easton Farm Park is always an enjoyable family day out, but over the February half term visitors can go for a stroll through the Magical Woods, ride the Family Train and even meet the new lambs.

Wild Tots at Knettishall Heath

When: Tuesday, February 14

Ideal for children aged 18 months to five years and their primary-school aged siblings, this event is a Valentine's Day special.

It gives families the opportunity to have fun outdoors as well as having social interaction with other children.

50 Fun Things trail at Dunwich Heath and Beach

Where: Coastguard Cottages, Minsmere Rd, Dunwich, Saxmundham IP17 3DJ

When: Saturday, February 11 until Sunday, February 19

The '50 Fun Things Trail' at Dunwich Heath and Beach has been set up by the National Trust.

The event encourages children to tick things off their list as they go about the area and, on the way out, stop by the Visitor Information Centre to pick up a '50 things to do before you're 11 and three quarters' scrap book.

Lambing weekends at Kentwell

Where: Kentwell Hall, High Street, Long Melford, Sudbury CO10 9BA

When: Each weekend from February 11 until March 26

"Bring your little ones to meet our little ones" is the message from Kentwell as lambing seasons begins.

Families can make a day of it by exploring the gardens as the snowdrops come through and spot fish in the moats.

Love Nature at Christchurch Mansion

When: Tuesday, February 14 and Wednesday, February 15

Suitable for all ages, the Love Nature event at Christchurch Mansion encourages curious minds to get in touch with the world around them.

Guests are encouraged to bring interesting rocks, fossils and natural finds with them and experts will help to identify what they are.
