A Woodbridge-based jewellery manufacturer is celebrating her royal seal of approval after the Princess of Wales wore their design.

It was a big moment for Emily Foskett, the founder of Emily Mortimer Jewellery, who launched in 2015.

Catherine, the Princess of Wales, wore earrings designed by Emily during her visit to Falmouth on Thursday, February 9.

It was Prince William and Princess Kate’s first royal visit to the county since taking on the roles of Duke and Duchess of Cornwall.

Emily said: “I was incredibly proud to see Catherine, the Princess of Wales, wearing my Hera earrings for the second time.

“Catherine’s style is always so flawless, and she is a huge inspiration to me and so many others.

“My Hera Collection was my very first Gold and Diamond Collection, it features drops of polished gold, each embellished with sparkling Diamonds.

“A collection that was originally inspired by femininity and empowerment, designed to stand the test of time.”

Emily said that becoming a jewellery designer is the fulfilment of "a childhood dream that turned into reality."

In 2021, Emily opened her first store, on Deben Wharf in Woodbridge.

She then said: "Jewellery means everything to me.

"It has been something I have loved since I was a child, and I am so lucky to still love it now.

"There is no better feeling than designing jewellery for family, friends and customers and knowing how happy that piece has made them.

"I completed a degree in jewellery and studied gemmology and I worked for Aspens Jewellers in Woodbridge and Kiki McDonough in London.

"In 2015 I started Emily Mortimer Jewellery after finding an incredible workshop in India and I haven’t looked back.

"Years later, big decisions are still tough, but my dad taught me to always take the risk and to work hard and I am now very clear of the direction I want to take Emily Mortimer Jewellery in."
