The bomb disposal unit was called after an unexploded device was found in east Suffolk earlier this week.
The bomb was discovered by officers from Halesworth police at about 7.30am on Tuesday.
A spokesman for Suffolk police said the bomb disposal unit had disposed of the bomb by 11am.
