A mass meet-up of black-and-white spotted dogs is coming to Beccles.

An annual 'Dally Rally', which takes place in different spots across Suffolk, is planned for February 26.

Dalmatian owners from across the area are invited to join in the walk at Beccles Common.

Loni Phoenix, a member of the Suffolk Dalmatian Owners UK, which organises the walk, said: "The annual Dally Rally happens every year.

"This is where owners of Dalmatians in the UK meet up for a walk to raise money for Dalmatian charities.

"These rallies are organised all around the UK.

"It is always very striking when you see a herd of spotty dogs coming towards you.

"The Dalmatians are beautiful, intelligent, affectionate, energetic dogs. They can also be bonkers and goofy."

Mrs Phoenix said the rallies usually "turned lots of heads".

She said: "We organised the Suffolk owners' group so we can socialise our dogs with like-minded dogs and people.

"We use the group also as a forum for advice, and for sharing our experiences."

Mrs Phoenix said: "We try to organise smaller Dally rallies throughout the year, we have previously been to places like Bury St Edmunds, Lowestoft, Felixstowe, Southwold, Diss, Pakefield, Beccles, Ipswich."

Dally rallies also take place in other parts of the country, organised by affiliated groups of Dalmatian owners.

This year will mark the fifth anniversary of the event, which sees more than 3,000 Dalmatians going on group walks nationally.

The event has raised more than £4,000 for charity since it began.

Mrs Phoenix said: "This year we have decided to use Beccles Common as the location for our National Dally Rally.

"So if you see a splatter of Dalmatians coming towards you, don’t be alarmed.

"We are just strutting our stuff on our annual Dally Rally."

The meet-up starts at 2pm.
