A Beccles company is celebrating the installation of £250,000 machinery to produce moulded parts for its customer base.

Plastic manufacturing company Broadwater has invested more than £250k on a large-scale vacuum forming machine.

The new machine offers the flexibility of producing parts both large and small.

The main advantage is that both the moulded parts and the waste are 100pc recyclable.

Matt Herbert, managing director said: “Investing in a completely different but complementary moulding technology represents a significant step forward and yet another milestone for the business.

"I’m grateful for the tireless commitment and hard work of the whole team to deliver the project at pace and within budget.

"This is the largest single investment the business has made in some time and I am excited at the prospect."

Vincent Mortlock, technical director for Broadwater, said: "We believe that this will complement what we already offer customers.”

Broadwater has been manufacturing reinforced plastic parts for a wide range of industries since 1977 and says it has made great strides within the sector.
