Libraries across Suffolk are set to host two nights of live music from local musicians this month.

The initiative organised by Suffolk Libraries - the charity responsible for running the county's library service - will see performances in Capel St Mary on March 4 and in Stowmarket on March 10.

All proceeds raised will go towards Suffolk Libraries Day, an annual fundraising event which celebrates the work libraries do for communities across the county.

Performances will include Clacton-On-Sea group 'A Light Left On' as the main act alongside Haughley musician Rich Fuell and Suffolk-based band 'The Lightning Club'.

It will be a live debut for 'The Lightning Club', with the group having never performed a public gig.

Doors will open at 7.30pm and music will start from 8pm.

Tickets are £7 each and can be purchased online.

Daniel Harvey, Director of Communities & Performance at Suffolk Libraries (who is himself in The Lightning Club!) said: "We're really looking forward to the gigs.

"They should be great fun and will hopefully raise a bit of money for Suffolk Libraries.

"We hope they will also highlight the fact that our libraries are about social interaction, entertainment, fun providing books."
