An interior designer from Suffolk is set to appear on a new Channel 4 reality show.

From the makers of hit BBC series The Traitors, Rise And Fall will see 16 ordinary people of all ages and from all walks of life begin the game as equals.

As the show progresses, they will find themselves either in a position of control as a “ruler”, or as part of the powerless as a “grafter”.

The game will reflect 'real-life power dynamics' as the grafters must survive in a cramped basement without natural light and with repetitive, bland food while having to complete physically demanding challenges to build a cash prize fund only the rulers can win.

Rulers will live it up in a luxurious penthouse as they encourage the grafters to work harder, however, if they push too hard they might find themselves toppled from power.

Anyone can rise to a position of power and anyone can fall, which will be decided by the other players.

At the end of the game, only one ruler will have the chance of winning a life-changing cash prize of up to £100,000.

Among the contestants is a 50-year-old woman from Suffolk.

The Sun reported that interior designer Joanna grew up in the county but spent time at her grandparents' stately home.

When the pandemic affected her interior design work, she went to Greece for a 'big adventure'.

She said: "I’m strong, physically and mentally.

"I like to rise to any occasion thrown at me. I love a challenge.

"I’m very energetic so throw anything at me and hopefully, I’ll be capable."

Recently, Suffolk has featured on a number of TV shows, including Antiques Roadshow and Salvage Hunters.

Rise and Fall begins on Sunday, March 19 at 9pm on Channel 4 and All 4.
