The 'Not Sorry Club', which inspires women to be unapologetic for who they are, is flying from strength to strength with the release of its new podcast series.

Founder Betty Adamou, 37, is an award-winning serious game and gamification designer, expert and author who lives in Ipswich.

She first started the Not Sorry Club as a way to help women explore the sense of living unapologetically.

"Women find themselves apologising all the time and my experiences with gaslighting led to me being very apologetic," she said.

"I feel like I've had to de-programme myself from saying sorry all the time and it's been a real game changer."

In 2021, Mrs Adamou created a six-part series of programmes on BBC Radio Suffolk with Jon Wright, addressing topics such as equality in the home, with guest appearances from leading women.

"The radio episodes were 20 minutes maximum, but the feedback I received was that people wanted more," she said.

"So I decided to launch a podcast series too."

The Tales of Female Badassery podcast is an eight-episode series released every Tuesday on all major podcasting platforms.

Mrs Adamou is also encouraging people to take part in the one-week #NotSorryChallenge, which asks women to try to omit unnecessary apologies from their lives.

"I decided I should practice what I preach and tried it out myself," she added.

"I omitted around 40 on the first two days, but once I was getting into the zone it became easier."

Mrs Adamou is hoping to change not only the attitudes and behaviours of today's women, but also for generations of women to come.

"We might not all become mums, but we will be aunties and godmothers," she said.

"I want to break the cycle and help raise a confident and unapologetic generation of women."
