A road is currently closed after a van burst into flames close to a gas meter.
Emergency services were called to Top Street in Martlesham at about 10.55am on Monday.
A spokesman for Suffolk police said a road closure is in place and a white transit van is involved.
Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service has sent two appliances to the scene.
Photos show the van engulfed by the flames.
