More than 400 people attended a community arts and crafts fair featuring 70 local crafters at a Suffolk football ground on Sunday.

The Leiston Community Arts and Crafts Fair, held at Leiston Town Athletic Association (LTAA) in Victory Road, featured exhibitors from around the area, including Ipswich and Lowestoft, displaying unique goods that were not available on the high street.

These included food and plant stalls, wood, glass, jewellery, textiles, paper and soaps.

There was also a raffle organised by the LTAA with draw prizes being donated by the stall holders.

Leiston resident Christine Biggs, who runs the fair, said: "Despite the rain, putting the clock forward and another event in Leiston, a steady flow of over 400 folk attended the Leiston community arts and crafts Easter craft fair at the LTAA football ground Leiston.  

"Over 70 local crafters, from as far as Ipswich and Lowestoft arrived with lovely, unique, not on the high street crafts."

The next event will be a craft, food and drink extravaganza at the same venue on Saturday, June 10.
