The Easter half-term is upon us, with Suffolk parents scrambling for ideas to keep kids entertained. 

Luckily, there is no shortage of events taking place across the county. 

Here are five events, including a number of Easter egg hunts, to keep your children happy.

1. National Trust Easter Trails 

Several National Trust sites across Suffolk are hosting Easter Egg hunts to celebrate the festive occasion. 

Adventuruous trails are taking place at Flatford, Ickworth, Orford Ness, Dunwich Heath, Sutton Hoo, Melford Hall and Ickworth Estate between April 1 and April 16.

Tickets for the events cost £3, and can be purchased from the National Trust website.

2. Jimmy's Farm Spring-tacular Adventure 

Children can enjoy a number of different activities at Jimmy's Farm this Easter. 

Activities including meeting chicks and guinea pigs, as well as feeding camels and meeting a ranger in the reptile house.

3. Easter at Suffolk Food Museum 

Several events are taking place at the Suffolk Food Museum over the half term holidays. 

Families can meet the newborn lambs, bake hot cross buns and take part in an Easter trail across the site. 

The activities are taking place every day, and prices start from £5.

4. Rollerskating and more in Ipswich

A host of activities are taking place at sport centre sites across Ipswich the half term break.

From family rollerskating at Whitton and Gainsborough sport centres to junior jet skiing at Crown and Fore Street swimming pools, there is plenty of exciting activities to keep the kids entertained. 

Free flower planting workshops are also taking place at Christchurch Mansion.

5. Den building at Nowton Park 

What better way to finish the half term holidays than den building at Nowton Park. 

Put on your wellies and waterproof and camouflage your den in the heart of one of Suffolk's most popular parks.
