A man who damaged the windows of two BMW cars in Suffolk will be sentenced next month.

Before Ipswich Crown Court on Friday for a plea and trial preparation hearing via a prison video link was Colin Utting, of St Michael’s Road, Long Stratton.

He admitted an offence of affray during which he allegedly used or threatened unlawful violence on January 15 this year.

He also admitted causing criminal damage to the windows of a BMW X3 and a BMW X1 and causing criminal damage to windows, furnishings and household items belonging to the owner of one of the vehicles.

Recorder Richard Conley adjourned the case until May 19 to allow for the probation service to prepare a pre-sentence on him.

He said Utting had a number of mental health and physical issues which might impact on the sentence he would receive after admitting the offences.

He also remanded Utting in custody until the next hearing in May.
