A 21-year-old barber shop tycoon who is rapidly expanding his empire has now teamed up with one of his staff members to open his third store.

On Point Barbers owner Oli Norman is opening a third store within Sports Direct Fitness in Moreton Hall, Bury St Edmunds.

For the latest addition to his business portfolio, the young entrepreneur has teamed up with Brodie Nurse, 24, who has worked for On Point Barbers since it opened in 2020.

After leaving Thurston Community College, Mr Norman enrolled on an apprenticeship at Mr Barbers in Bury St Edmunds alongside a course at West Suffolk College.

He opened his first barber shop in Elmswell, On Point, at just 18 years old, when restrictions began to ease after the Covid-19 lockdown.

Helping people to look their best in both dress and hairstyle, in 2021 Mr Norman launched a new clothes line, which bears the same name as his barber's shop.

Growing from strength to strength, he opened his second shop in Long Melford, targeting rural locations where there are fewer services and less competition.

Now, he's teamed up with fellow barber Brodie Nurse to open another branch of On Point Barbers in Bury St Edmunds.

Responding to customer demand, the new shop will have more convenient hours, as Mr Norman found that his late night slots were booked up months in advance.

"We'll be working different shift patterns to ensure everyone can get their hair cut around their working hours," he said.

"So we'll start offering slots and walk-ins from 6am and end at 9pm at night."

Mr Norman added: "We're busy all the time and I've now got ten barbers working for me.

"I'm proud of myself and it's definitely going really well."
