A Suffolk town hall set up for an auction event was broken into and burgled over the weekend.
The premises of Clare Town Hall, near Sudbury, was prepared to host Clare Auction when the crime occurred.
Sometime between 7pm on Friday, April 14 and 6.45am on Saturday, April 15, the hall was broken into through a smashed window.
A spokesperson for Suffolk Police said: “Various small items including costume jewellery and badges were taken, some of which were found near the scene.”
Police ask anyone with information about the incident to contact them by the Suffolk police website or by calling 101 and quoting crime reference 37/21555/23.
Clare Town Council was approached for comment but did not wish to respond.
