A stranded fishing boat had to be assisted by a lifeboat crew after getting into difficulties.
The volunteer crew of the Lowestoft RNLI lifeboat, Patsy Knight, was called out after the local fishing boat suffered engine failure and was stranded off the Suffolk coast.
With Patsy Knight responding at 10.45am on Monday, April 17 after the vessel got into difficulties, Lowestoft Lifeboat coxswain John Fox said: "When we reached the eight-metre-long fishing boat it was 10 miles due east of the end of the Stamford Channel.
"The three crew on board the vessel said that something has become wrapped around their propeller and caused the engine to fail.
"With relatively calm sea conditions we were able to tow the boat back to port and moor in the Waveney Dock, arriving at 1.30pm.
"The fishing boat crew told us they would now get the boat lifted out of the water to get the obstruction cleared."
