The Environment Agency has issued a flood alert after heavy rain fell in Suffolk overnight.

The update was issued at about 10.30pm last night for the rivers Deben and Lark.

It covers areas such as Woodbridge, Kesgrave, Debenham and more.

Locals are being advised to avoid low lying footpaths or entering areas prone to flooding.

It comes after heavy rain fell across Suffolk last night.

Yesterday, the Met Office issued a yellow weather warning for thunderstorms in the region.
