A bike mechanic is keeping the wheels turning for cyclists by setting up his own business.

Following the closure of Evans Cycles in Martlesham on May 14, Euan Coleby has sensed a gap in the market for maintenance and servicing.

The 20-year-old from Woodbridge was employed at Evans Cycles for two years before losing his job due to the shop closing.

Now, he has decided to open Coleby Cycles for people to go to should they need bike support.

He said: "There is a big gap in the Woodbridge side of Ipswich now.

"Evans Cycles did the majority of the servicing for the Martlesham and Kesgrave area.

"With Evans gone, there's a huge gap in the market and I just want to continue on with what I know and what I am good at."

Mr Coleby will be operating out of new bike shop, Virtue Electric Bikes in Woodbridge, where he is also working in the workshop for them.

He continued: "It's going well so far and just shows the demand for it.

"In the future, it would be great to have my own workshop and once I pass my driving test, do a mobile clinic."
