A large fair with rare plants, garden accessories and local food and drink is returning to one Suffolk estate.

At Helmingham Hall Gardens, near Stowmarket, one of the region's biggest plant fairs will return for two days at the end of May.

Visitors can explore dozens of stalls, from nurseries offering both popular and rare plants to pop-up shops with garden accessories including tools, planters, outdoor furniture and more.

A garden marquee will host a number of workshops and expert talks with top tips for gardeners or advise on plant problems.

There will also be a range of artisan makers present, with local food and drink, handmade crafts and gifts for sale.

New for 2023, guests can explore an extensive outdoor sculpture trail throughout the gardens in aid of Art for Cure.

Brendan Arundel, head gardener at Helmingham Hall, said: "It’s always a pleasure to share our love of gardens with visitors at the Plant Fair.

"It’s also a really important opportunity to highlight and educate visitors of all ages about the importance of conserving rare plants and supporting the wildlife that depend on gardens of all sizes to thrive."

The event will take place on Sunday May 28 and Monday May 29 from 10am to 4pm.

Tickets cost £8 for adults booking in advance or £10 on the day.

Children aged 15 and under go free and well-behaved dogs are welcome.
