The mother of a woman murdered by her husband has spoken of the torture imagining her facing "the worst humanity".

The statement made by Dhurti Shah was heard at Ipswich Crown Court following the sentencing of her daughter's killer.

Peter Nash was found guilty of murdering his wife Jillu and 12-year-old autistic daughter Louise at their home in Great Waldingfield last September.

He was given a life imprisonment with a minimum sentence of 40 years.

In a victim impact statement, Jillu's mother said: “It is torture to think how my daughter was unable to defend herself, a petite woman and how a vulnerable, non verbal child would have slept innocently to never wake up again.

"I replay how Jillu spent her last few minutes, what she must have been thinking- the man whom she trusted for 12 years has turned into a monster resulting in her facing the worst humanity.

"How can he value human life so cheaply and who gave him the right to punish our darling daughter?

"Jillu, I am missing you and don’t know how to live a day or life without you.”
