An application has been made to turn an empty building that was once a hairdressers into a one-bed home.
The site is the now-closed Cutting It hair salon, at Old Post Office, on Bobby Hill in Wattisfield.
The salon would be turned into an open-plan kitchen and dining and living room, and the former store room of the salon into a bedroom, with the attached bathroom becoming an ensuite.
The proposal would not involve any changes to the exterior of the building, but there will be upgrades where necessary to meet building regulations, according to the planning application documents.
The application sets out how there will be no impact on transport in the area, and the level of traffic at the site would be less than when the building was a business.
The planning application was made to determine if prior approval is required for the change of use of the site, from commercial, business and service to dwellinghouses.
It was made to Mid Suffolk District Council by Phil Cobbold Planning, on behalf of the applicant, on Thursday, May 18.
A decision is to be expected on the application by July 13.
