A man from Sudbury whose careless and inconsiderate driving caused six people to be hospitalised has lost his driving licence for two years.
A sentence hearing for Oliver Small, of Croft Villas, Sudbury, was held at Suffolk Magistrates' Court on Friday.
On July 19 last year, Small, 20, was driving a Ford Fiesta which caused a crash involving four vehicles on the A1092 in Long Melford.
Fire crews and ambulances attended the scene, with one person trapped in a car which had come off the road and into a ditch.
Small was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge by air ambulance, having suffered serious leg injuries.
Three others were transferred to West Suffolk Hospital by road, while a Suffolk police spokesman later confirmed that two other people also attended West Suffolk Hospital.
On Friday at the court hearing, Small was disqualified from driving for two years, starting from April 19.
He was also ordered to undertake unpaid work within the community.
