The green light has been given for a former Suffolk village church to become someone's 'dream' home.
Planning permission has been granted to convert the United Reformed church in Cavendish, near Sudbury, into a home.
The applicant is a long-term resident of Cavendish who bought the property in 2020 and plans to demolish the existing flat roof extension to live in the building himself.
West Suffolk Council issued the decision on Tuesday, May 30, allowing the applicant to start on his project to create his "dream self-build home".

The Cavendish church was built in the early 19th century and has laid empty for over five years since it ceased its use as the United Reformed Church.
The building is not listed but is considered to be a "non-designated heritage".
The parish council had no objection to the plans, adding: "We feel that it is more important to secure a residential use which would safeguard a building which makes a positive contribution to the street scene and village."
