Suffolk is a county full of colour - especially in the summertime.

So, get your cameras out and make the most of the many wonderful places our county has to offer.

These are five colourful places that will brighten up your Instagram this summer...

1. Southwold beach huts

There's no place like the seaside and in Southwold, the vibrant beach huts give this popular strip of the Suffolk coastline a perfect splash of colour.

The beach huts are well known for their photogenic nature and in 2021 were named as the UK's most Instagrammable beach huts.

2. Beach Street

Relatively new to Felixstowe, Beach Street has quickly become one of Suffolk's most exciting places.

With colourful shipping containers home to splendid eateries, the food you'll buy here is also well worth a quick picture.

3. Ipswich Waterfront

If you're in Ipswich on a sunny day, head down to the waterfront area to grab a snap of the colourful murals.

With artwork painted by local artists, it's a great way to support their craft as well as making for a good picture.

4. Rougham Sunflowers

Toward the end of the summer, Rougham Estate allows visitors to pick their own sunflowers.

There's not many better opportunities for a perfect picture than a sea of yellow flowers.

5. Lavenham

Lastly, it's common knowledge that Lavenham is one of the most picturesque places you're likely to find in the UK - but it's also a very colourful place.

Head down Water Street to find all the spectacularly decorated half-timber houses and then continue into the High Street to discover the crooked house.
