After days of scorching temperatures, heavy rain and thunderstorms are expected to hit Suffolk.
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning covering much of the county which is in place until 10.30am on Tuesday.
The rain will move from the west of the county, hitting most of Suffolk.
The eastern coastal regions look likely to escape the downpours whereas central and western areas are expected to face torrential rain and potentially lightning strikes.
Flash flooding could occur and disruption to travel is likely, the Met Office has said.
