Temperatures continue to soar in Suffolk, with a heatwave expected to be declared in the coming days. 

The UK Health and Security Agency issued a yellow alert for the county due to the sweltering conditions, which is in place until 9am on Monday. 

While some will be trying to keep cool, many people are expected to visit the coast for a day out at the beach.

But where will be the hottest place in the county this weekend?

According to the Met Office, Sunday will be the hottest day of the weekend with temperatures expected to reach the low 30s. 

Santon Downham is likely to be the hottest place in Suffolk with highs of 33 degrees. 

It will be significantly warmer in the west of the county, with temperatures in Bury St Edmunds, Haverhill, Newmarket and Sudbury all likely to hit 30 degrees. 

Temperatures will hit highs of 28C in Ipswich, while it will be cooler on the coast, with highs of 27 degrees in Felixstowe and 23 degrees in Southwold.
