A pub's annual festival is hoping this year will be the biggest and best yet as it marks its 20th anniversary.

Al Festo is a beer and music festival which is hosted annually by The Sun Inn, Dedham.

The festival will celebrate two decades of hospitality between July 15 and 17.

Around 12 different bitters, ales, and ciders will be available over the weekend. Featured breweries include the Burnt Mill Brewery in Stowmarket; Adnams, in Southwold; and Fat Cat, in Norwich.

Pub owner Piers Baker said: "We'll have a BBQ set up for not only our ever-popular burgers but also a selection of tacos with pulled pork as well as vegan and vegetarian options and loaded fries."

The musical line-up this year will feature Americana, folk, and alternative rock bands from nearby Suffolk and Norfolk, as well as London and Manchester. Closing the festival on Sunday evening, fresh off the back of their Glastonbury performance, is Cable Street Collective.

"They play upbeat rhythms and Congolese-influenced guitar sounds will send people bopping into the summer's evening," said Mr Baker.

The music will start at 1.30pm and end at 8pm.

Alongside the festival celebrations, The Sun Inn has launched a three-course set menu featuring some of their best-loved meals from across the years.

Diners can enjoy cod 'a la mode' with vine tomatoes and peaches in Essex pinot noir. Three courses will cost £30.02 in honour of the pub opening in 2003.

Mr Baker said: "We're expecting it to be the best biggest and best yet and the perfect way to celebrate your 20-year anniversary.”
