A 29-year-old Essex motorbike engineer accused of drug dealing has been convicted by a jury.
Before Ipswich Crown Court on Friday was George Gorecki of Wilford Close, Chelmsford, who had denied possessing cocaine with intent to supply on June 2 this year.
He was convicted by a jury by an 11-1 majority verdict after a trial which started earlier in the week.
Recorder Richard Conley adjourned sentence until September 14 for a pre-sentence report and warned Gorecki that he could be jailed.
The court heard that following his arrest Gorecki told police he hadn’t sent a message on his phone which appeared to relate to cocaine worth £11,000.
Gorecki told officers he used cannabis but didn’t take other drugs and had never been involved in the supply of drugs.
He denied sending a message on his phone which appeared to relate to cocaine worth £11,000 and said that friends and family had access to his phone.
He said he dealt in stocks and shares and the message which police claimed related to cocaine could have related to stocks and shares.
