Two Suffolk restaurants have been named among the best local restaurants in the UK.

Lark in Bury St Edmunds and Watson and Walpole in Framlingham have been selected in Britain's top 100 local eateries in The Good Food Guide.

More than 37,000 people voted for their favourite restaurants, before experts from the guide carried out inspections.

Located on the historic Angel Hill, Lark opened in Bury St Edmunds earlier this year.

Writing on social media, a spokesperson for the restaurant said: "A huge thank you to all of our fantastic customers who have been so kind and supportive since we flung open our little blue door to our tiny restaurant just five months ago."

After opening in 2020, Watson and Walpole in Framlingham has gone on to feature in both The Good Food Guide and the Michelin Guide.
