A gold Rolex watch worth thousands has been taken in a suspected robbery in Southwold. 

The incident took place on Sunday, June 25, on Mights Bridge, Southwold, sometime between 12pm and 1.30pm.

The victim, a man in his 70s, was asked for directions by a young woman. 

During their encounter, she took the victim's hand and attempted to kiss him. 

A police spokesman said: "A little while later the gentleman realised that his gold Rolex watch was no longer on the wrist that the suspect had taken hold of."

The female suspect has been described as white, approximately 5 feet 2 inches tall, and aged between 20 - 30.

She was wearing all black at the time of the robbery and has been described to have a 'hunched' posture.

Lowestoft Police ask that people who may have been driving in the area at the time check their dashcam footage.
