Suffolk has been awash with celebrities visiting in 2023. 

Whether it has been for filming, birthday celebrations or family holidays, the county has become a hotbed for spotting famous faces. 

Here are 11 household names that have been spotted in Suffolk so far this year. 

Rick Stein 

The TV chef headed to Southwold as part of filming for a new documentary. 

During his visit to the coastal town, Stein and his crew stopped off for lunch at Loaded Southwold. 

Cheryl, Nadine Coyle, Nicola Roberts, Kimberley Walsh and Jake Wood

Cheryl and her fellow Girls Aloud co-stars enjoyed a stay at the Wilderness Reserve to celebrate her 40th birthday. 

The former X Factor judge shared a glimpse to what her and her bandmates got up to on their retreat, where they were also joined by Eastenders actor Jake Wood.

Ed Sheeran 

You are never too far away from seeing Ed Sheeran in Suffolk. 

While the musician represents the county and his beloved Ipswich Town across the globe, the Shape of You star was spotted at Portman Road in April as Kieran McKenna's men beat Wycombe Wanderers 4-0.

Lloyd Griffith and Jack Whitehall 

The comedic duo were spotted in Ipswich ahead of a show at Ipswich Regent Theatre. 

Griffith shared snaps of their visit on social media, which saw them enjoy a meal in a car park.

Timmy Mallett

Best known for his presenting in the 1980s, Timmy Mallet may only be remembered by certain generations.

The Wacaday and Utterly Brilliant star was spotted on the train between Ipswich and Felixstowe in July, while he also enjoyed a visit to Needham Market.

Benedict Cumberbatch

Doctor Strange star Benedict Cumberbatch is the latest famous face to be seen in Suffolk. 

The Hollywood actor popped into The Galley in Woodbridge, before taking pictures with owner Ugur Vata.
