The Weeping Willow pub in Barrow has opened its brand new lodge accommodation.

"The Weeping Willow lodges have been one of the most exciting projects in our journey so far," said Philip Turner, Founder and Chief Executive of Chestnut Group.

"The lodges represent Chestnut's commitment to being environmentally aware."

The lodges are all dog-friendly and some can sleep up to five people.

Doggy guests can expect use of a dog bed, towel and water bowl.

All of the lodges feature large bi-fold doors which blend the line between the inside and the outside.

The pub was recently named the 'most Instagrammable' in the county and also sees some guests arrive by helicopter

Some of them feature a wood-fired hot tub.

"The methods chosen in the construction of the lodges support biodiversity and ensured there was minimal disruption to the land and surrounding habitats," said Mr Turner.

"They offer a low-carbon stay with no single-use products, energy-saving systems and recycled glass carafes."

There are three bookable lodge options: Best, Best Family and Good.

All of the lodges feature king-sized beds and walk-in rainfall showers. The family lodges have additional bunk beds, and the lodges rated Best have wood-fired hot tubs.

"We have pretty much been at 100% occupancy since we opened," said Tori Dexter, Head of Marketing at Chestnut Group.

"As we are close to Newmarket lots of people have been booking to stay after a day at the races or following a concert."

Guests can also have breakfast following their stay. Launched on the 1 July and available every day, the menu features cooked breakfasts, breakfast buns and continental options.

Both the lodges and breakfast are bookable via The Weeping Willow's website.
