There were long delays on the A14 after emergency services were called to a single-vehicle crash. 

Police were called to the crash on the westbound carriageway at Beyton Green, near Bury St Edmunds, at about 7.45am on Friday. 

A National Highways spokesman said that one lane was closed after a vehicle struck a bridge. 

They said there were delays of around 60 minutes and seven miles of congestion. 

Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service sent three appliances to the scene. 

The crash was close to the roadworks that are taking place on the A14 near Woolpit. 

According to the AA Traffic Map all lanes were stopped as a result of the crash.
