A small village just outside Stowmarket could soon have six more houses after plans were submitted to the council.

The application proposes six new houses, a mixture of three and four bedrooms, to be built in Little Stonham, between Stowmarket and Debenham.

The houses would be situated just off Norwich Road, on the A140, near the Magpie Pub.

Five of the proposed houses will be three beds, varying in size, with one being a four-bed house, all two-storey.

The larger houses will be situated to the rear of the site, to avoid an overdominant view looking into the site from the main road.

As well as the houses, a new road will need to be constructed, with houses on each side.

Each house will have car parking spaces, with the larger houses benefitting from additional covered garage parking.

Each property will have provision for covered cycle storage and an electronic car charging point.

Mid Suffolk District Council will discuss this application in due course.
