The landlords of a 16th-century family-run pub are "thrilled" to have won Suffolk's CAMRA Pub of the Year award.
David Maskery, who has been the owner of the Rumburgh Buck for 22 years, put his sister Stella Cattermole and her husband Tyrone in charge as managers in 2019.
Mrs Cattermole said: "When we took over in 2019, little did we know of the difficulties that would lie ahead.
"For the first six months, we strived to get things up and running as we wanted.
"March 2020 as everyone knows is when Covid came along, it had a massive impact on the hospitality business together with the rising energy costs but through sheer determination and great beer we survived.
"We are now delighted to be awarded Suffolk CAMRA Pub of the Year."
The Rumburgh Buck, in the village between Bungay and Halesworth, is home to a variety of local music and dance talents such as Rumburgh Morris, Old Glory Molly and RumStrum Ukelele players as well as hosting traditional folk music Tuesday lunchtimes.
It also hosts a social crafting group twice a month, a monthly chess club, an open mic quiz night in aid of the local cricket ground and two annual beer festivals.

"Throughout lockdown, we stayed in touch with many of the regulars and provided takeaways and beer deliveries, which now seems a far cry from the vibrant pub it is today.
"Rumburgh Buck is very much the hub of the community providing cask ales and traditional home-cooked food in a cosy traditional atmosphere, with its original stone floors, welcoming everyone including families, cyclists and dog walkers alike.
"There is always a smiling face from the staff and a chat to be had with regulars from all walks of life," Mrs Cattermole added.
"Myself and Tyrone are absolutely thrilled to be awarded CAMRA Suffolk Pub of the Year and are very grateful for the fantastic support we have had.
"Not only from our staff but also our wonderful customers that make Rumburgh Buck the pub it is today."
