Police are appealing for witnesses after a fail-to-stop crash on the A14 which saw an Audi with its bonnet up and two flat tyres flee the scene. 

Officers were called to reports of a collision, between junction 46 and 47 on the A14 at Woolpit, at about 4.15pm on Tuesday, July 18. 

A silver Audi TT was involved in a crash with a blue Volvo S40 on the eastbound carriageway. 

The collision caused the Volvo to leave the scene.

According to Suffolk police, the Audi failed to stop at the scene and continued driving through the roadworks at speed.

It is alleged they collided with a number of cones before leaving the A14 at junction 47. 

A spokesperson for Suffolk police said: "It is believed than he bonnet of the Audi was completely up during this time and the vehicle had two flat tyres.

"Police have since recovered the Audi vehicle involved but are keen to identify the driver at the time of collision."
