There isn’t much time left to get your entries and nominations in for the first ever East Anglian Daily Times Suffolk Education Awards. So, if you want to ensure a teacher, student, establishment or member of staff gets the recognition they deserve, consider taking a few minutes out of your day to submit an entry or nomination.

The EADT Suffolk Education Awards aims to put the people who exemplify the passion, dedication and innovation shown in the education sector in the spotlight, whether they are actively working in the classroom, completing apprenticeships, supporting students’ wellbeing, their physical health, or helping them take their first steps into the world of work.

There are 11 awards up for grabs this year covering a range of categories, with the recipient of the top prize of Overall Education Hero of the Year selected from the winners in all other categories by our judges.

2023’s Suffolk Education Awards would not be possible without the support of our headline sponsor the University of Suffolk, which is a passionate supporter of our education sector and strives to ensure learners are given the opportunities to succeed.

Mohammad Dastbaz, deputy vice-chancellor at the University of Suffolk, said: “The EADT Suffolk Education Awards provide a wonderful opportunity to share the brilliant work of educators across our county. We should celebrate their efforts to recognise that what they do each day makes a difference to young people’s prospects.

“I would encourage all of Suffolk’s education providers to get involved and do their bit to shine a spotlight on their fantastic staff, and demonstrate their pride in the inspiring professionals teaching our county’s young people.”

We would also like to thank our category sponsors including Suffolk County Council, Apprenticeships Suffolk, Teach and Active Suffolk.

Nominations and entries can be made by anyone from an institution or education provider itself to colleagues, staff member, students, parents or guardians. So if you know of an exceptional individual or establishment in Suffolk that you think deserves recognition for their commitment, be sure to submit your nomination and they could be collecting an award at the glittering awards ceremony on Thursday, November 9 at Venue 16, Ipswich.

The deadline for entries to the Suffolk Education Awards is Sunday, August 6. To find out more about all of the categories, meet the sponsors and submit your entries and nominations, please visit the website at suffolkeduawards.co.uk
