Plans for a Sainsbury's Local and a takeaway to be built on a Bury St Edmunds estate have been given the green light.
Proposals for the 460sqm local centre at Lark Grange, on the edge of Moreton Hall in the west Suffolk town, included two retail units, the smallest of which will be a hot food takeaway.
In the application submitted to West Suffolk Council, the larger of the two units will be a Sainsbury's Local convenience store.
In original plans the store would open 7am to 11pm every day, but a recent licencing application submitted to the council could see the premises open 24 hours a day.
The approved plans for the site will include 19 car parking spaces, with two disabled spaces and one space for electric vehicles, as well as eight covered spaces for bicycle storage.
Bury St Edmunds currently has one Sainsbury's supermarket in Bedingfeld Way, off the A14 at Moreton Hall.
Approval for the Lark Grange store and takeaway was granted on Wednesday, July 26.
