An electric drill has been taken after a tipper lorry was broken into in Great Cornard.
A rear passenger window was smashed and the tool was taken from the vehicle, which was parked in Chelsworth Avenue.
The theft is believed to have happened at any time between 5.15pm on Friday, August 11, and 6.15am today, Monday, August 14.
However, a police spokesman said a witness reported hearing a sound at around 3.30am today, and it is thought that they disturbed the offender, who ran away.
This follows a spate of vehicle break-ins in Suffolk.
