There are many award winning restaurants in Suffolk, where you can get a quick bite to eat at lunch or enjoy a full three course meal for dinner.

The Michelin Guide includes restaurant reviews conveyed through summaries of inspectors experiences at the restaurants. 

Here are all the Suffolk restaurants featured in the Michelin Guide. 

1. Upstairs at the Mill

Where: Tuddenham Mill, High Street, Tuddenham, IP28 6SQ

The team of chefs create menus inspired by the Suffolk countryside using local produce. 

The restaurant has also won four AA rosettes for food and service. 

2. Packhorse Inn

Where: Bridge Street, Moulton, Newmarket, CB8 8SP

The pub is named after the nearby medieval bridge. 

Food offered from breakfast through to dinner is inspired by season and soil. 

3. Pea Porridge

Where: 28-29 Cannon Street, Bury St. Edmunds, IP22 1JR

Pea Porridge is the only Michelin Star restaurant in Suffolk.

The menu changes daily and features North African, Middle Eastern and Mediterranean dishes. 

It's name references the old town green which was once outside the two cottages that make up the restaurant. 

4. Maison Bleue

Where: 30-31 Churchgate Street, Bury St Edumunds, IP33 1RG

An open kitchen in a converted 17th century house form this restaurant.

The cooking is French at heart but does have some modern and Asian touches. 

5. Leaping Hare

Where: Wyken Vineyards, Stanton, IP31 2DW

The restaurant sits at the centre of a seven acre vineyard. 

Food on the menu relies on seasonal ingredients, many of which come from their own farm.

6. The Brewers

Where: Lower Road, Rattlesden, IP30 0RJ

The Brewers reopened in 2018 to create a friendly atmosphere for everyone, including dogs.

The menu changes regularly to reflect the best that Suffolk has to offer. 

7. The Angel Inn

Where: Polstead Street, Stoke-by-Nayland, CO6 4SA

The building is more than 500 years old and has been given a complete restoration.

Their food philosophy is centred in innovation and invention using high quality British produce.

8. Watson and Walpole

Where: 3b Church Street, Framlingham, IP13 9BQ

The Italian menu offers flavour-packed seasonal dishes. 

The owners recently opened an Italian bar behind the restaurant, and also run The Ice Cream Shop opposite Framlingham castle.

9. Unruly Pig

Where: Orford Road, Bromeswell, IP12 2PU

Here they serve us fresh and local British food with an Italian influence.

The menu changes seasonally and depends on what is available fresh from the market each day.

10. The Suffolk

Where: 152 High Street, Aldeburgh, IP15 5AQ

It's fish and shellfish on the menu at this restaurant beside the sea. 

The modern brasserie name-check their fisherman and other local suppliers.
