The finalists have been announced for the Customer Excellence Award, sponsored by Greater Anglia, at the East Anglian Daily Times Business Awards 2023

This award will be given to a business that can demonstrate how it exemplifies outstanding customer service, consistently delivered at the highest level by a customer-focused individual or team. 

Attwells Solicitors

Attwells Solicitors is a property law firm with offices in Ipswich, Colchester and London. 
The business specialises in conveyancing, supporting clients through an often stressful time.

Attwells has received multiple client care awards from independent customer review platform Feefo in recent years, and its Colchester office marked 100 five-star reviews on Google this year.

The judges praised the strong performance of the business and said that it shows a “clear commitment to customer service”, as well as commending Attwells for “having a dedicated role within the organisation monitoring and improving this for their customers”.

Overall, they felt that Attwells provides “a great example of how customer service should be central to every organisation”.

Brampton Manor

Brampton Manor Care Home in Newmarket is owned and operated by Boutique Care Homes, a family-run business with more than 20 years of experience providing high-quality care to older people. 

Brampton Manor offers a range of care services, including residential, dementia and short stays. The home has 63 bedrooms with en-suite facilities and the care team provides round-the-clock care.

The judges were particularly impressed with the passion from the team at Brampton Manor and said “it was great to see a number of the team present within the interview”.
They added that “the role the team plays within the community and the commitment to customer service is fantastic”.

Kingsfleet

Founded in 2010, Kingsfleet is a chartered financial planning firm headquartered in Claydon, Ipswich, providing bespoke financial advice to clients.

It predominantly supports people in and around Suffolk seeking assistance with their pensions and investments, and also helps several charities and family trusts. 

Kingsfleet has a strong focus on its impact on both the community and the. Last year it achieved B Corp status, an accreditation for businesses with high social and environmental performance. 

The judges could see that “there is a clear emphasis on the role that customer service plays, from the internal team to the external service provided” and said that Kingsfleet provided a “great” application.

MacKenzie King

Ipswich-based MacKenzie King specialises in accountancy and finance recruitment across Suffolk and North Essex.

The business supports employers of all sizes – from SMEs and public sector organisations to FTSE (Financial Times Stock Exchange) 100 businesses – to create the high-performing teams they require. 

The judges said that, at MacKenzie King, “customer service is clearly an important part of the service delivery,” and were pleased to hear that the business’ co-owners play an active role.

They said that “the clear vision of the service being offered and the partnership approach to providing a great service is great” and praised the “fun” nature of the team.
