A holiday park by the coast in east Suffolk has a new owner.

Harrison Leisure Group has added its first holiday park in the region through the purchase of Cakes & Ales Holiday Park in Leiston.

William Harrison, director at Harrison Leisure Group, said: "This is an exciting time for the Harrison Leisure Group.

"We are delighted to be taking over Cakes & Ale, which is a wonderful holiday park in beautiful Suffolk that has a strong family ethos, making it the perfect fit.

"This is also a special moment because it is our first holiday park in the south of England and, as we look forward, we will be continuing to seek opportunities to expand the Harrison offer into other areas of the country."

The 45-acre site is made up of 200 static caravans and lodges, 55 pitches and three rental cottages.

The recreational area features tennis courts, golf, boules, football goals and a golf practice range.

Cake & Ales' location offers holidaymakers the chance to enjoy Suffolk beaches, villages and attractions such as RSPB Minsmere.
