People in Suffolk are set to endure a wet Bank Holiday weekend as the recent sunny weather comes to an end.

It is time to say goodbye to the hot weather, as it is all set to change as we head into the long weekend.

'Unsettled' conditions have been forecast by the Met Office for Suffolk, with a drop in temperatures and rainfall predicted across the region.

A spokesman for the Met Office said: "Saturday will see some showery rain develop in parts of Suffolk through the day, though tending to die out into Saturday night. There’s a chance some of these showers could be a bit thundery in nature.

"Sunday will be mostly dry, with a mix of sunshine and showers, and Monday is a similar theme."

The spokesman also described the weather as "unsettled" due to the low pressure.

Temperatures are due to be in the early 20s around Suffolk throughout the bank holiday weekend.

Several events are due to take place, including the Bury St Edmunds Food Festival and the East Anglian Beer and Cider Festival.
