Location Works

Location Works, based in Eye and London, is a father and daughter-run agency specialising in finding locations for filming, television, photo shoots and events.

The agency’s Metworks London project, developed during the pandemic, created an opportunity for productions to film at a hospital set in an empty building at a time when filming in an actual hospital was impossible. The once derelict space is still used today for artists to showcase their work.

Calling Location Works an “incredible” and “underrated” business, the judges had high praise for the business’ leadership and said that it is run with “a sense of pride and also fun”. They added that what Location Works has done with its Metworks project is “commendable”.

The judges said that they were “very impressed with the business, its heritage, values, growth plans and also the learning and development approach that the leadership adopted”.

They commended the team for “embracing their Suffolk heritage” in a very competitive industry, and for investing in new tech, assets and staff.
