A 33-year-old Suffolk man has denied raping a woman he met on a dating site.
The woman, who met Andre Moore on Bumble, went back to his Newmarket home after visiting a nightclub in the town, Ipswich Crown Court heard.
Consensual sexual activity took place in his bedroom, but Moore had then allegedly pushed the woman face downwards on the bed and anally raped her, said Gareth Thomas, prosecuting.
He said the woman had previously told Moore she wasn’t interested in having anal intercourse and on the night of the alleged offence he had allegedly “carried on regardless” when she told him to stop.
Mr Hughes said that when Moore went to the bathroom after the alleged offence the woman had sent a text to a friend asking him to pick her up.
The woman told her mother and some friends about what had allegedly happened and the police were contacted.
When Moore was arrested and interviewed by police he claimed the woman had consented to anal sex and said he would have stopped if she’d asked him to.
Moore, of Granary Road, Newmarket, has denied rape.
The trial continues.
