A drug runner who was found to have wraps of cocaine hidden in a car he was driving when he was stopped by police on the A12 has been given a suspended prison sentence.

Twenty-seven wraps of cocaine were found in a black sock hidden in the windscreen wash bay under the bonnet of the car, Ipswich Crown Court heard.

When Arjel Horeshka’s mobile phone was examined it was found to contain a large number of text messages between him and another man giving him instructions where to deliver drugs using the postcode delivery method, said Charles Myatt, prosecuting.

He said Horeshka had been involved in dealing drugs worth an estimated £15,000 between May 9 and June 22 this year.

Horeshka, 28, of Alma Road, Southampton, admitted being concerned in the supply of cocaine and possessing cocaine with intent to supply.

He was given a 24-month prison sentence suspended for two years, a 25 day rehabilitation activity requirement and a six month trail monitoring requirement.

Adam Budworth, for Horeshka, said his client had been pressured into delivering drugs to pay off a debt to the people who’d arranged for him to come to the UK.

He had a girlfriend, who lived in Ipswich, and he was going to live with her.
