Three new four-bedroom homes have been approved in a village near Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk.

Babergh District Council has approved the plans to build three homes, along with vehicle access, associated parking and landscaping in Cockfield, south of the west Suffolk town.

In December 2022, plans for three new homes in Cockfield, a village situated between Bury St Edmunds and Sudbury, were submitted to Babergh District Council.

Each house will have its own private garden, as well as the bigger houses having four parking spaces each, and the smallest house having two spaces.

Work is due to commence within the next three years.

The grant states that action is required before the commencement of work can be undertaken.

These include the creation of access, and documents showing suitable parking and turning, along with bin refuse and collection areas and a construction management strategy.

These three homes will add to an existing development underway just north of the plot, which involves the development of 28 new homes.
