A popular Suffolk fireworks display will return this year after being cancelled at the last minute in 2022 after three unexploded bombs were found at the site.

The Big Night Out has been held at Melford Hall for a number of years but will be taking place at Kentwell Hall on November 10 later this year.

The event had to be cancelled just days before the event after the bombs were found by workers setting up the site for the fireworks night.

The bomb disposal team also attended and removed the unexploded devices from the site.

Organisers of the event said the cancellation cost the project around £10,000 in losses.

Since Project Seven started running the event in 1982, the community group has raised £750,000 for local charitable causes, including Breakthrough Breast Cancer Suffolk, St Nicholas Hospice Care and Suffolk and Essex small animal welfare.

Refunds were given to those who purchased tickets after the event was cancelled although some people donated the money back to the charities.

Project Seven has announced the return of the event on social media.

Tickets and more information will be released soon.
