This lively and fun-loving young lady is looking to start an exciting adventure of her own.

Gloria the black tan Beagle was given up by her ill owner whilst she was heavily pregnant with puppies.

Only eight days after arriving at Blue Cross's rehoming centre in Wherstead, Gloria gave birth to ten puppies but sadly, three of the puppies did not make it.

The puppies were named after he characters from the Madagascar films - Gia, Fossa, Skipper, Moto Moto, Melman, Marty and Alex.

Sadie Hollinsworth, Rehoming Supervisor at Blue Cross in Suffolk, said: "Gloria was a brilliant mum to the puppies".

"We installed a camera in her unit so we could monitor her pregnancy, whelping and then with her puppies".

All of the puppies have been rehomed across the UK but Gloria is still looking for a new home.

Her profile on the Blue Cross website describes her as "a lively and fun-loving young lady".

"She loves to play and race around at top speed. She is interactive and affectionate and loves hanging out with her human friends. She has many typical beagle traits too in that she loves to sniff and would happily chase any squirrel she comes across".

"Gloria can sometimes get overwhelmed when seeing new people and dogs, becoming vocal at these times. She does, however, settle nicely once appropriate meets are done and can make friends quickly."

"Gloria is currently looking for a home without any other dogs or cats but would really like to have some chilled out walking doggy friends to continue to help build her skills and confidence."

Gloria can live with families with older school age children after successful meets at the centre.
