Firefighters from across the county tackled a huge roof fire in a Suffolk town.
Six fire appliances were called to a blaze at a property in Beech Rise in Bury St Edmunds at around 3.15pm today (October 7).
Station manager Mark Cragg said: "Our thoughts go out to the owner but fortunately no injuries have been sustained.
"I want to praise the efforts and hard work of the fire crews for limiting the fire damage as much as possible."
The Environment Agency, Anglian Water and Suffolk police were also called to the scene.
Fire services will remain at the scene throughout the evening but the blaze is now extinguished.
The property is unstable and investigations will begin tomorrow morning to determine the cause of the incident.
Southgate Street northbound is closed while emergency services remain at the scene.
