A suspected arson in a Suffolk village over the weekend has cost a tipi hire company tens of thousands of pounds in damages, the police have revealed.

Between Sunday, October 8 at 6pm and Monday, October 9 at 2am, a tipi hire company - Events Under Canvas - was targeted by suspected arsonists.

Four of the tipis set up on-site were damaged by the fire, which is now believed to have cost the company around £60,000 in damages.

Business owner Jenna Ackerley said that the company was "sad" and "frustrated."

Suffolk Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident and ask that anyone who saw any suspicious activity or knows who was responsible contact Suffolk police, quoting crime number 37/59169/23.
